Post doing 9 days of pooja, on 10th day of Navratri the visarjan is done. All the pooja samagri should be settled in a way that it should not harm our environment as well as our religious sentiments should maintained. Here, we are providing you the procedure of Navratri Visarjan:
On 10th day of Navratri, first of all take bath and clean yourself and go to your place of worship where Kalash & Chowki are placed.
Settling the Ghat / Kalash and its Pooja Samagri:
- Take some flower and raw rice in your hand, and thank to all Gods present in Ghat / Kalash for their blessings and stay in Kalash for 9 days. And, pray all Gods to now go back to their places / home and come back when we pray to invite them again. Then, offer flowers and row rice to them.
- Pick the Ghat and keep aside.
- Take the coconut on Ghat as Prasad, just eat and distribute it as Prasad.
- Give raw rice on lid to birds to eat.
- Sprinkle the sacred water of Ghat in your entire house and pray it will remove all negative energies and bring prosperity. You can also drink it and can take a bath of this sacred water.
- Take out coins and keep safe along with your money, they will bring prosperity.
- Take out other pooja samagri which you putted in Ghat / Kalash, dry all the samagri, convert it into the powder and spread the powder into your plants. Alternatively, you can dig a small hole & put those stuff there and cover it with soil.
- Pot which used to sow barley can be placed under any near by Peeple tree or can be used as a Planter at your home. Before doing this, pluck some green sprouts and offer to Goddess Durga.
Settling the Chawki Pooja Samagri:
- First of all, thank to Maa Durga for coming & staying there for 9 days. pray Goddess to now go back to her places / home and come back when we pray to invite her again.
- Pick photo/Idol of Goddess and put it at it’s permanent place (in temple).
- Now collect the offerings on Chowki. Take them as Prasad.
- Remove red cloth from the chowki. You can reuse it in your home’s temple.
- Dried flowers & garlands can be sprinkle across trees & plants.
