Kala Til (Black Sesame Seeds)

Description

Kala Til (Black Sesame) is used in hawan samagri for pooja. Black til is mixed in either milk/ water and then offered to God Shiva in the form of Abhishek. During the shraddh ceremony the Kartha makes a special offering of til or black sesame seeds to Pitrs.  Black til is very dear to Shani Dev.

The Kala til seeds are used for purifying the body. Kala Til (Black Sesame) is rich in dietry fibres and calcium. Sesame helps lower cholestrol level.
